In order to raise the public awareness of epidemic prevention, the Working Group on the Promotion of Epidemic Prevention was set up by the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education (CPCE) in late 2005.
Terms of reference
To draw up and implement schemes in order to promote epidemic prevention in the community, with the aim of preventing the outbreak of epidemic disease in Hong Kong.
To co-ordinate and monitor the implementation of schemes, and to report the working progress to the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education on a periodic basis.
To formulate a long-term strategy, that would be followed by other sub-committees under the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education, in promoting epidemic prevention through civic education.
