Categories

Primary School Category (for students of any registered primary school in Hong Kong)
Secondary School Category (for students of any registered secondary school in Hong Kong)
Open Category (for Hong Kong residents aged 18 or above)

Prizes

Champion: Award Certificate and gift vouchers worth $5,000

1st Runner-up: Award Certificate and gift vouchers worth $3,000

2nd Runner-up: Award Certificate and gift vouchers worth $2,000

Outstanding Awards: Award Certificate and Souvenir

Enrolment

Participants shall, according to their specific category (Primary School, Secondary School and Open), complete the question sheets published by the organiser and distributed to schools and community organisations (Photocopies are acceptable). Participants may also answer 20 questions about the Basic Law and complete the application form online.
Participants who have answered all 20 questions of the quiz will have the chance of receiving a souvenir. Participants who have answered all 20 questions correctly will have the chance of receiving more souvenirs. Participants of each category with the most number of correct answers will be selected by lot to attend and compete at the final cum prize presentation ceremony for big prizes.

Rules

Each participant should only join the quiz once on an individual basis. For participants who have made more than one submissions, only the initial submission will be valid and all subsequent submissions will be rejected.
In case of any dispute, the decision of the organiser will be final and binding on all parties concerned.
Personal data provided by participants will only be used for matters related to this event. Such data will be disposed of after the quiz.
The organiser reserves the right to amend the rules of the quiz.
Participants give consent to all rules of the quiz by submitting the application form.

Deadline

Participants shall log into http://www.cpce.gov.hk/basiclaw2014-15 to answer the Basic Law questions and complete the application form by 11:59 p.m. on 13 February 2015 the latest (based on the time as shown on the event website system).
Participants may also complete question sheets published by the organiser and distributed to schools or community organisations and submit them to Hong Kong Economic Times, 8/F, Kodak House II, 321 Java Road, Hong Kong, by post or in person on or before 13 February 2015 (postmark date), with the words "Competition" specified on the envelope. Late submissions will not be considered.
